About Us – The Botanical Brothers

Where local roots, natural wellness and community connection come together, one cup of tea at a time.

The Botanical Brothers is a family-owned artisanal tea company based in Healesville in the Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia. We craft herbal and specialty tea blends using botanicals sourced from local Yarra Valley growers, small Australian producers, and trusted international estates — chosen for quality, sustainability, and genuine flavour.

Our teas are available online at thebotanicalbrothers.com.au, and through select stockists across Victoria.

Our Story: Grown From the Ground Up

The Botanical Brothers started as a personal interest in herbs and plants — a genuine curiosity about what grows in the Yarra Valley and what it can do. That interest grew into a business, and the business grew into a community. From the beginning, local connection has been at the heart of it: working with Yarra Valley farmers, supporting small producers, and giving back to the region that inspired us.

We work hand-in-hand with growers like the team at Warratina Lavender Farm, CherryHill Orchard, and Wandin Yallock Farms because we believe in building real relationships with the people behind our ingredients. These partnerships mean our botanicals are fresh, ethically grown, and sourced as close to home as possible — better for flavour, better for the land, better for the growers.

What we offer: tea with intention

Our range spans black teas, green teas, herbal blends, chai, oolong, white tea, rooibos, fruity teas, and health and wellness blends. We also carry a dedicated Australian native tea collection featuring botanicals native to this country — including teas sourced from tea estates across India, Sri Lanka, and China, blended or paired with Australian ingredients. Each blend is chosen for its natural benefits and grown with integrity. Whether you're looking to ease stress, support digestion, boost immunity, or simply enjoy a mindful moment, we have a tea for it. We also stock a curated range of AMBA Award-winning teas for those seeking something exceptional.

Our Tea master: Neethanjana Senadheera, AMBA ESTATE

Neethanjana Senadheera

Neethanjana Senadheera is not just a tea maker—he’s a storyteller, a teacher and one of the most generous spirits at AMBA Estate in Sri Lanka.

one of our most valued international partners. With deep roots in Sri Lanka's tea culture, Neethanjana has spent years mastering the craft of hand-made tea: from the precision of hand-rolling to the timing of oxidation and the balance of a finished brew.

What sets him apart is his generosity as a teacher. He gives his knowledge freely — welcoming visitors, apprentices, and curious minds into the process with patience and without reservation. His influence is felt in the quality of every AMBA tea we stock, and in the deeper appreciation for the craft that he passes on to all who work with him.

Awards

The Botanical Brothers is proud to be a Golden Leaf Awards winner, recognised with both Gold and Silver awards for excellence in artisanal tea. These awards reflect our commitment to quality sourcing, craftsmanship, and the integrity of our ingredients.

Our commitment: local, sustainable, real

At every step — from soil to steep — we keep sustainability and community at the heart of what we do. Our teas are organically sourced and packaged using biodegradable materials. By prioritising local supply chains wherever possible, we reduce our environmental footprint and strengthen the Yarra Valley community we are part of.

We work with farmers and producers who share our values: quality over quantity, care over convenience, and a genuine connection to the land. That philosophy runs through every blend we make and every cup we sell.
