100 gms Green Tea Sencha: a refreshing blend of grassy sweetness, gentle umami and vibrant green freshness in every sip

Our Green tea is made from the leaves of the Camellia Sinesis that have undergone minimal oxidation during processing. While both Green Tea and Green Tea Sencha come from the same plant, Camellia Sinensis, it is the treatment of the leaves that makes the difference. Sencha is steamed, which gives it a nobler, more delicate note. Green tea, on the other hand, is often roasted, which gives it a stronger, often earthy aroma.

Directions for the perfect cup:

  • Choose your strength
    Choose 1 or 2 tablespoons of Green Tea Sencha depending how you prefer the strength of your tea. 
  • Boil water. Typically, you'll want about 1 cup of liquid per serving
  • Once your water starts boiling, add your 1 to 2 teaspoons of Green Tea Sencha per cup. If you want a stronger flavour, opt for 2 teaspoons
  • Pour boiling water over leaves and allow to steep for 2-3 minutes
  • Strain the tea through a tea strainer into a cup if making in a tea pot. 
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
