Our Green tea is made from the leaves of the Camellia Sinesis that have undergone minimal oxidation during processing. While both Green Tea and Green Tea Sencha come from the same plant, Camellia Sinensis, it is the treatment of the leaves that makes the difference. Sencha is steamed, which gives it a nobler, more delicate note. Green tea, on the other hand, is often roasted, which gives it a stronger, often earthy aroma.
Camellia Sinensis
"Green Tea Sencha offers a fresh, vegetal aroma with subtle nutty and seaweed notes, complemented by a delicate floral undertone. Its flavour profile is a well-balanced blend of grassy sweetness and gentle umami, accompanied by a light astringency and hints of steamed greens or spinach. The tea’s smooth and refreshing mouthfeel leads to a clean, crisp finish that lingers with a taste of vibrant green freshness. Its pale yellow-green liquor adds to the experience, making it perfect for moments of calm and clarity."
